Luxury Interior Design in New England
Luxury without pretense
Thoughtfully designed. Beautifully lived.
A Life Well Considered.
At Winterberry Design, we believe true luxury is found in thoughtful details, exceptional craftsmanship, and spaces that feel as comfortable as they are beautiful.
Led by Larson Burns, our Vermont-based studio creates distinctive interiors and bespoke furnishings for clients throughout New England and beyond.
Your home is one of the family too
At Winterberry Design, we believe a home is more than a place to live—it’s a cherished member of the family. It holds your memories, reflects your story, and offers comfort, beauty, and a deep sense of belonging.
With this philosophy at our core, we approach each project with care and intention—designing interiors that are as personal as they are timeless. We don’t chase trends; we craft spaces that celebrate the people who live in them. Every detail is thoughtfully curated to express your family’s unique character and to create a home that welcomes, inspires, and endures for generations.

About
Winterberry Design
A Life Well Considered. Luxury without pretense.
Founded by interior designer Larson Burns, Winterberry Design is a Vermont-based, full-service interior design studio serving discerning residential and commercial clients throughout New England and across the United States.
With more than 25 years of experience working with luxury clientele nationwide, Larson brings a wealth of knowledge, an appreciation for regional architectural influences, and a deeply personal approach to every project. From historic New England homes and mountain retreats to sophisticated contemporary residences, his work balances timeless design with the individual character and lifestyle of each client.
At the heart of Winterberry Design is a simple belief: true luxury isn't defined by formality or extravagance, but by exceptional craftsmanship, thoughtful details, lasting comfort, and the freedom to live beautifully in your own way. Beautiful spaces should feel as welcoming and comfortable as they are refined.
With specialized expertise in custom window treatments and bespoke furniture design, Larson combines creative vision with an extensive understanding of furniture construction, materials, and traditional craftsmanship. He collaborates with skilled artisans and trusted craftspeople to create distinctive, custom-designed furnishings that reflect each client's needs, personal style, and appreciation for quality.
Sustainability is an important part of this philosophy. Winterberry Design believes that one of the most meaningful ways to design responsibly is to create interiors that endure. By emphasizing timeless design, quality construction, natural and responsibly sourced materials, and the thoughtful restoration or repurposing of existing furnishings whenever practical, the studio strives to reduce unnecessary waste while creating spaces of lasting beauty. Larson favors investment pieces and enduring craftsmanship over disposable trends, recognizing that the most sustainable furnishings are often those cherished and used for generations.
Whether designing a complete home, guiding a renovation, or creating a single extraordinary piece of furniture, Larson approaches every project with the same commitment to individuality, authenticity, and meticulous attention to detail.
Design. Craftsmanship. Comfort. Individuality.
The result is more than a beautifully designed interior. It's a home that reflects the people who live there, welcomes them every day, and becomes more meaningful with time.
